This instruction is used when installing a new Kawasaki hydraulic pump into a press with a 10 hp motor. A new horsepower compensator spring is used to limit the required horsepower from the motor. Without this new spring the pump will overload the 10 hp motor because the pump cannot be adjusted to a lower horsepower requirement.
After the sprinig is replaced, the compensator must be adjusted set to match the full load amps of the motor.
