Paint Instructions
Instructions for painting Milnor equipment or matching color of paint.
In order to match paint color:

Milnor colors are custom blends, therefore, there are no RAL numbers.

We can provide a color chip and tell you of the type of product we are using. This should get you pretty close to a color match.

We use Sherwin Williams Polane Hi Solids Low VOC paint specially formulated for us. Unfortunately, this also complicates a formula match. The paint can be purchased from MILNOR if needed. Also, for cosmetic touch up, we offer spray cans of Alkyd Enamel in these colors. While this enamel is not nearly as durable, it will provide a cosmetic color match.

Our U.S. customers can contact a Industrial Coatings Sherwin Williams store and give them the following numbers (listed below) to call out what they need. Note that a home type supply store will not be familiar with this system.

The first section of numbers identifies the product, the second identifies the color and the third is the INDUSTRIAL store #. The INDUSTRIAL store can contact our store here and get the formula match.

WARM GREY - # F63A - 0469 - 4367
PHANTOM GREY - # F63A - 0468 - 4367
TRITON BLUE - # F63LF2 (stocked at their distribution center)

Our overseas dealers and customers need to use a color chip and product type description to create a reasonable match.

In order to use the paints these instructions should be followed.

AIR PRESSURE
The factory sprays primer at 25 PSI and top coat at 30-35 PSI.
Depending on the equipment you are using you may have to vary the pressure. Some experimentation will be necessary.
