SUBJECT: PRESSURE SWITCHES, P/N 09N082A, USED PRIMARILY AS A BRAKE SWITCH ON WASHER EXTRACTORS. IT IS ALSO USED ON THE WETCHUTE AND PRESS.
Dear MILNOR Dealer/Customer:
We have seen some failures of pressure switch 09N082A. We sent the units we received from field failures back to the manufacturer for examination. They found the diaphragm failed in almost every case. To correct the problem, they changed the diaphragm material to Buna-N. This change corrected the problem.
Pellerin MILNOR has the corrected pressure switches in stock. All pressure switches made after February 1994 have the new diaphragm and are not suspect.
It is not necessary to replace pressure switches which have not failed. However, please exchange any you have in stock which have a date code before February 1994 for new ones under warranty. The date code is under the sticker and is read month, year, i.e. 1/93
