Gentlemen:

We have created a repair policy for PC boards which are suspected of failing during the warranty period. We think it is a vast improvement over the old system. Please read the following and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

1). When a PC board is declared bad by the dealer and is within the warranty period he should replace the PC board with a rebuilt board, not a new board. (The warranty is the same).

2). The suspect PC board should be sent to the MILNOR Warranty Department for credit/replacement. MILNOR will not issue a new board as a replacement nor will we issue credit for a new board. We will issue a rebuild replacement or credit for a rebuilt board. MILNOR will not return a PC board back to you as "tested good".

We will process the suspect board through our normal tests and repair the board if we find a problem. If we don't find a problem, or after it is repaired, MILNOR will then test the board for 300 hours to make sure the board is good. We will keep this board at MILNOR in stock as a rebuilt.

This policy means you will not have a large inventory of "test good" boards. This should increase your inventory turnover and cut holding costs. Also, you can purchase rebuilt boards for less than new boards which is good for you and the customer.

3). We do offer a core credit for old PC boards. The amount varies from board to board, but is approximately 20% of dealer net for a new board.

The following conditions must be met to receive core credit:

1). The board cannot have chemical damage.

2). The board must be in rebuildable condition.

3). The board must be less than 5 years old.

4). The board must be returned through a dealer, prepaid to MILNOR.
