1. Plug the download device into the printer port on the side of the central control box.
2. Turn the key to program.
3. At the Initialize column, line feed to Data Transfer and press return.
4. Turn the key on the box to Clear Memory, then back. The ready light will go out and come back on when the memory is cleared.
5. Select Interrogate Data Storage Device. If the display says "DATA STORAGE DEVICE READY", proceed to the next step. If the display says "DATA STORAGE DEVICE NOT TALKING" try plugging the box into the plug on the front of the MILTRAC controller.
6. When Xfer Status displays "Data Device Ready," select the option to perform. Use "Upload to data storage device" to backup MILTRAC information to the download box. Use "Download from data storage device" to restore MILTRAC to the information stored in the download box.

*If the Xfer Status reads "Data Device Not Ready," check the connections and verify that you are using the correct download box.

7. While the data transfers, the Xfer Addresses and Xfer LCR display will roll with letters and numbers. The receive light on the download box will light up.
8. When the transfer is successful, the "Xfer Status" will display "Transfer Complete."
9. Exit the programming menu.
10. Turn MILTRAC power off and unplug the download box.
11. Store the download box in a cool, dry, safe place.
